Carrie Johnson beamed after kicking Justin Trudeau’s elbows as she and Boris officially welcomed the G7 leaders in Cornwall today.
The Canadian Prime Minister has become the unlikely political crush of women since his election – and it seems that not even Carrie is immune to his charm.
She was seen today sharing a friendly moment with Trudeau as the newlyweds greeted guests one by one for the official start of the summit on a boardwalk in Carbis Bay.
As Trudeau got closer, he put on a face mask, nudged Boris with his elbows, and turned his attention to Carrie to say, “It’s nice to meet you, Carrie”.

Boris then shared a few quick words with the couple, who were seen having a quick chat and laughing before posing for a photo.
The 33-year-old opted for a bright pink Roksanda dress, which initially cost £ 1,395, and which she rented from the Hurr rental website.
Boris was last seen publicly with Trudeau when the two met ahead of the last G7 summit in Biarritz, France, almost two years before he and Carrie tied the knot last month.
The couple married in a “small ceremony” at Westminster Cathedral this May after an extraordinary night-and-fog operation to keep the event a secret – with a larger celebration slated for next summer.

It was Carrie’s biggest appearance on the world stage today when she also met Angela Merkel, Mario Draghi, Emanuel Macron and Japan’s Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
The Prime Minister’s new wife will play a central role at the summit, welcoming the spouses of world leaders while their colleagues work out solutions to global problems.
Yesterday she even went paddling with First Lady Jill Biden and her one year old son Wilfred. Carrie was seen laughing with the 70-year-old as they dipped her toes in the Cornish Sea.
Jill said today that it was “wonderful” to hang out with Carrie and insisted that the “special relationship” between the US and the UK be “continued”.

Carrie can be seen wearing a pair of LK Bennett’s £ 175 heels as she posed with her husband and Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today
Carrie’s bright pink midi dress is said to be on loan from either rental website HURR or My Wardrobe, and she paired the look with a £ 175 pair of LK Bennett heels.
Eco-conscious Carrie is also believed to have rented several pieces of her wardrobe for the event – two collections from clothing rental companies My Wardrobe HQ and Hurr Collective were delivered on Wednesday and Thursday.
Experts recently said that wearing the color pink FEMAIL “conveys friendliness and understanding in a non-threatening way”.
