Toronto police arrest local teacher, place child pornography charges

TORONTO – Toronto police arrested a local teacher after an investigation into large amounts of child pornography uploaded to the internet.

According to police, Sean Done, 32, of Toronto was arrested on May 27 and charged with possession of child pornography in two cases, access to child pornography in two cases and the provision of child pornography in one case.

Done was employed by the Toronto District School Board as a high school teacher at the Central Toronto Academy at 570 Shaw Street.

When asked to comment, TDSB made the following statement:

“No students from the school are involved in the charges. When the employee found out about the allegations, he was immediately assigned to the home. The school authorities will continue to work with the police in their investigation, ”said Mike Gallagher, Superintendent of Education.

“While it is important to remember that filing a criminal complaint is not guilty and that a person is innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law, we cannot and do not take these allegations lightly, and we make a commitment To enforce guidelines for their welfare, “Gallagher continued.

Police fear that Done may have had contact with students, especially online, and are asking anyone with information to contact the police at 416-808-8500.

Done appeared in court on Thursday.
