ISSCA has reopened its annual regenerative medicine symposium to advance cell therapies and technologies in Istanbul, Turkey.
MIAMI, FLORIDA, USA, May 31, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – After over a year of inactivity due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ISSCA is finally holding its annual Regenerative Medicine Symposium to advance cell therapies and technology in Istanbul, Turkey .
The world is finally beginning to open up again to large gatherings of people. For the International Society for Stem Cell Applications, ISSCA, this has been a long time coming. The nonprofit is known worldwide for bringing the benefits of regenerative medicine to countries around the world and for nurturing an international community of researchers through its conferences, the last of which is held May 27-28 at the Pullman Istanbul Hotel & Convention Center took place.
The symposium focused on bringing together doctors from across the Middle East as well as around the world. During this event, physicians and researchers had the opportunity to participate in panel discussions on the latest advances in the rapidly growing field of regenerative medicine, including most notably molecular biology, new treatment models in surgical and cosmetic applications, and the latest technological advances to meet the field. This includes a panel on cell gene exosomes, the result of years of work in the search for a regenerative medicine product to shorten the exhausting operating time. The dissemination of this information serves one purpose – to more effectively treat patients with degenerative diseases around the world.
The conference also addressed the legal landscape for regenerative medicine practice both in the United States (which is the model for many sovereign medical bodies) and abroad. Lectures were held throughout the day at this symposium, part of ISSCA’s mission to support a paradigm shift from traditional health solutions to regenerative medicine and to showcase the latest innovative discoveries and developments in all areas of stem cell research.
Istanbul, the economic, cultural and historical center of Turkey, is the most populous city in the country. The luxurious Hyatt Regency hotel near Istanbul Ataturk Airport offers visitors the combination of comfort, culture and convenience to explore the ancient city. Visitors to the symposium can discover sights such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
ISSCA Vice President Benito Novas said of the conference: “It feels really amazing to be outside again. After such a long time of lockdowns and travel difficulties, we wondered if we would have to wait any longer to host an event. It was far from ideal – even if the world locks up, research continues, and new breakthroughs in our field of regenerative medicine are made month after month. Our ISSCA symposia are a great opportunity to get this information to the doctors who need it most, and we plan to have as much as possible before the end of the year. “

The International Society for Stem Cell Application (ISSCA) is a multidisciplinary community of scientists and physicians who all strive to treat disease and alleviate human suffering through advances in the science, technology, and practice of regenerative medicine. ISSCA serves its members through advances in regenerative medicine.
As a medical specialty, standards and certifications in regenerative medicine are essential, which is why ISSCA offers certification training in cities around the world. The aim is to encourage more doctors to practice regenerative medicine and to make it available to patients nationally and worldwide. Founded as a non-profit organization under the Republic of Korea, the ISSCA is focused on promoting excellence and standards in the field of regenerative medicine.
