Cross River Governor Ben Ayade fired four commissioners and five special advisers in his cabinet.
Last Thursday, Ayade sided with the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying it was committed to joining forces with President Mohammed Buhari “to help build Nigeria.”
“We have seen his president and his commitment to this country, his nationalist stance and all his efforts to bring Nigeria to where it is today, and once we recognize it, we must work hand in hand to build it at this point. a Nigeria we can be proud of, “Ayade said.

The dismissal was announced on Monday by Christian Ita, Ayadeh’s special adviser on media and advertising.
Among the dismissed commissioners was information commissioner Asu Okang; Donatus Orphan, who heads the Ministry of Climate Change; Rita Ayim, Commissioner for Women’s Affairs, and Mike Usibe, Commissioner for New Urban Development.
Affected Special Advisers Leo Inyambe, Special Security Advisor; John Orphan, Fat Palm Development; Orok Duke, Callywood’s special adviser; Victor Okon and Agbiji Mbeh-Agbiji.
“As a result, state property and vehicles were immediately handed over to the Chief of Staff to the governor,” he said.
“The governor thanked them for their services to the state and wished them success in their future endeavors.”
