Lagos State has announced it will restrict traffic from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday for local government elections.
The nation said the Lagos State Independent Election Commission (LASIEC) would hold elections on the 20th LGAs, 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) in Lagos.
A statement from Information and Strategy Commissioner Gbenga Omotoso said: “The restriction is to allow the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) to hold unhindered elections to all 57 Local Governance and Local Council Development Chairpersons and Advisors. Fields.
“Restrictions will facilitate the movement of voters, election materials and LASIEC officials for the sanctity of elections, effective monitoring and enhanced security.
“All eligible voters are urged to participate in elections that require the cooperation of all residents.”
