Lagos State Police Command said it was unaware of any protests planned in Lagos State on Saturday, June 12, 2021 to commemorate 2021 Democracy.
A statement from the command, spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi, called on Lagosians to ignore the rules of living in a house called by certain groups, and said security forces had made the necessary arrangements to maintain order in the province.
The statement, ’12 June: No Awareness of Any Planned Protest in Lagos – Police ‘was not.
It said, “The Lagos State Police Command would like to make it clear that it is not aware of any planned protests in Lagos State on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in connection with the 2021 Democracy Day.
“In this regard, Lagos State Police Commissioner CP Hakeem Odumosu therefore appealed to members of the public not to ignore the order to sit in the house called by some groups spread on social networks and to follow the legal path. enterprises, such as the police and other security agencies, for making the necessary arrangements to maintain law and order between States. ”
Adejobi added on Friday that Odumosu had “set up special teams to track down the robbers who terrorized innocent Lagosians and to rid the state of such abuses.”
