COAS Bajwa, his wife visited the family of the slain Capt Basit Ali: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his wife visited the family of Shaheed Captain Basit Ali in their village near Haripur, ARY News reported on Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

The commander prayed for the dead spirit and offered Fateha. Agreeing with the family of the victims, COAS Bajwa said there was nothing better than giving one’s life to protect the country.

“The whole country is proud of the great commitment made by our national heroes.” The military also spoke of the Army’s strong commitment to fighting Pakistan’s enemies.

In the past, Chief of Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has traveled to the western border of Afghanistan to spend Eid al-Adha with the military and to strengthen their hearts and stability.

According to ISPR, Mr. Bajwa praised the dedication and professionalism of the troops stationed there. He also praised border security and operational planning.

COAS General Bajwa also acknowledged the closure of the border when he realized that Pakistan was determined to deal with any problems that might arise.

He reassured the military that the renovation and construction of the new houses would have the full support of the supervisors.
