MULTAN – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Wednesday that he would travel to China on a state visit tomorrow (Thursday).
The trip comes nine days after nine Chinese nationals including engineers were killed in an incident near the Dasu Hydropower Project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pakistan has launched a number of studies on the subject. Chinese authorities have also joined them.
Speaking to reporters in Multan, the Foreign Minister said Pakistan wanted peace in Afghanistan and that the entire Afghan leadership should work for peace in the country.
He also said that the path to peace in Afghanistan has played a key role.
Commenting on the arrest of Afghanistan’s ambassador’s daughter in Islamabad, he said the investigation would be completed soon and a report would be submitted to the Afghan government.
He also said India is doing a destructive task at the moment.
Qureshi said the Indian government had targeted its ministers and opposition members through espionage. However, he said India was facing challenges at all the meetings.
The Foreign Ministry said that India is committing atrocities and human rights abuses in Jammu and Kashmir who live in Indian prisons and the world should realize this.
He said the US would recognize Pakistan’s role in the fight against terrorism, the way to peace in Afghanistan and the implementation of the FATF agenda.
