Punjab police said on Monday that they have launched a “good” operation to crack down on bandits living in rivers in Rajanpur district to rescue two abducted police officers.
RPO Faisal Rana said armored vehicles, special police and additional personnel had arrived at the dacoits’ hideout. He added that the Punjab Ranger had also been called in to assist.
Meanwhile, a joint operation was also carried out in Dera Ghazi Khan against the Taman Khosa Ladi faction. Punjab police with the help of Border Military Police and Ranger arrested 24 suspects in connection with the operation.
